What is  a professional clean
To be eligible to redeem the claim, patients must have a PMPR (professional mechanical plaque removal) / Scale & Polish / airflow etc with a dental professional. The offer cannot be exchanged for another treatment.
Can patients visit any dental practice or is it only certain practices?
Patients can visit any dental practice to receive their scale and polish, as long as they have had their appointment 7-90 days after their second LISTERINE® purchase and keep the invoice from your appointment.
When does the promotion run?
Promotional bottles will be available in participating Tesco stores (in store only) in the UK (excluding NI) from 3rd July 2019 until the 13th of August 2019. The patient will have 90 days following their second LISTERINE® purchase to redeem their Scale and Polish

How many bottles do I need?
Patients will need 2 promotional bottles to be eligible to redeem their cashback. The bottles will have a neck hanger on them
Which products are eligible?
Products included in the promotion are Total Care 500ml, Total Care Milder Taste 500ml, Stay White 500ml and Teeth and Gum Defence 500ml. To be eligible, the bottles must have a promotional neck hanger on them.
Can my patient redeem against a different treatment?
No, cashback can only be redeemed against a Scale and Polish. If their Scale and Polish costs less than £50 the remaining money cannot be transferred. You must ensure the treatment carried out is clearly shown on your dental invoice, if you have more than 1 treatment in the appointment the invoice must be itemised to show the cost relating to the Scale and Polish
Can my patient just have the money?
No, cashback will only be sent with proof the scale and polish has been carried out and paid for
What if my patient cannot pay for the appointment?
Unfortunately, we cannot pay for the cost of the treatment in advance. Claims will only be processed after the appointment has been carried out
Patients want to participate but cannot pay for the treatment. If I do not charge them, can my practice redeem the cost directly with Listerine?
No, the cashback must be redeemed by the patient after their appointment
What is the catch?
There is no catch! As long as the patient has 2 unique codes from promotional packs, till receipts for the LISTERINE® purchases and a detailed invoice from your dental practice, we will be able to validate their claim.
What if the treatment costs more?
If the treatment costs more than £50, patients will be able to redeem £50 towards the cost of their appointment
What if the treatment costs less?
If the treatment costs less than £50, patients will be able to redeem the full value of their appointment only. The remaining money cannot be transferred to another treatment or given as cash
How long do patients have to redeem the offer?
Patients are able to redeem their treatment 7-90 days after their second LISTERINE® purchase. Any appointments carried out in the immediate 7 days after purchase will not be valid.
How many times can patients receive the offer?
The offer is limited to 1 per household, so patients will only be eligible to redeem the offer once

What if I my patient can't find another promo bottle?
Unfortunately, the promotion is live while stocks last. The promotion runs in participating Tesco stores till the 13th of August so we would advise checking other local Tesco stores if they would like to participate.
What if my patient has lost their receipt?
To be eligible for the promotion you must be able to provide proof of purchase. We suggest patients take a photograph of their receipt/s at soon as they purchase to ensure they do not misplace it.
What if my patient has lost their promo code?
To be eligible for the promotion the patient must provide the 2 unique promo codes found on the neck hangers. We suggest patients take a photograph of the codes at soon as they purchase to ensure they do not misplace them
Why is my normal Listerine product not included in this promo?
Only certain products in the LISTERINE® range are included in this promotion
Does my practice have to pay anything towards the promo?
No, the cost of the appointment is paid entirely by Johnson & Johnson, practices will not be required to pay anything.
What if I do not want to work with Listerine?
Practices will not be expected to work with LISTERINE® to deliver this promotion. Patients will visit practices independently.
Will Listerine expect me to share patient information?
No, Johnson & Johnson do not want to receive any patient information
What about patients who have a dental insurance plan?
All treatments within the plan are exempt as this is part of a total insurance package, but if the patient elects to request an extra scale and polish appointment, then they can claim the cost you would charge them at the point of treatment.

Can I recommend the offer to my patients?  
Yes, as long as your patients buy 2 eligible bottles at least 7 days before their appointment they will be able to redeem the cost of their scale and polish

1              THE PROMOTER  

The promoter is: Johnson & Johnson Limited of Foundation Park, Roxborough Way, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 3UG (“Promoter”).

2              THE ADMINISTRATOR

The administrator of the Promotion is: VCG of 2 Marchmont Gate, Maxted Road, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7BE (“Administrator”).

3              THE PROMOTION

3.1          The title of the promotion is LISTERINE® PROFESSIONAL CLEAN. Subject to these terms and conditions, you will be able to claim a cashback reward, capped up to the maximum value of £50, following a scale and polish with any hygienist in the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) when you purchase any two promotional LISTERINE® products from eligible ranges in participating Tesco stores (instore only) (“Promotion”). The eligible ranges are: Total Care 500ml; Total Care Milder Taste 500ml; Stay White 500ml; Total Care Sensitive 500ml; and Listerine Teeth & Gum 500ml. Participating Tesco stores do not include any Tesco Express stores.

3.2          You will need to submit valid proof of purchase and proof of treatment during the claim process. Internet access is required.

3.3          The Promotion is subject to available stock of the promotional packs of LISTERINE® (Listerine Total Care 500ml; Total Care Milder Taste 500ml; Total Care Sensitive 500ml; Stay White 500ml; and Teeth & Gum Defence 500ml), which have neck hangers advertising the Promotion.

3.4  By participating in the Promotion, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.


4.1          The Promotion will run until the earlier of 90 days after purchase of the relevant promotional LISTERINE® product and 31 December 2019 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.

4.2          Where the two promotional LISTERINE® products are purchased on separate occasions, the relevant date of purchase for calculating the Closing Date will be the date of purchase of the second promotional LISTERINE® product.

4.3          Your claim must be received by the Administrator by no later than 23:59 GMT on the Closing Date. Any claim received after the Closing Date is automatically disqualified.

4.4          You will need to follow the process described in this clause 4.4 in order to claim your cashback:

            4.4.1     You will need to purchase both promotional LISTERINE® products before your scale and polish treatment.

           4.4.2     You will then need to book and receive a scale and polish with a hygienist at a dental practice in the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) no sooner than 7 days     and  no later than 90 days from the relevant date of purchase.

          4.4.3     Following your appointment, you must submit the following via e-mail to

                     (i)            your full name and postal address;

                    (ii)           a receipt or receipts showing valid proof of purchase for both promotional LISTERINE® products;

                    (iii)          the unique promotional code from each of the purchased promotional LISTERINE® products (see neck hanger); and

                   (iv)          a VAT invoice from a dental practice for the scale and polish with a hygienist. The dental invoice will need to be presented on the headed paper of the relevant dental practice and must include the following information: (i) your name; (ii) the date of the treatment; (iii) a description of the treatment; and (iv) the cost of the treatment.

          4.4.4     Following submission of your claim, you will receive a confirmation email within approximately 5 days of your successful submission and a cheque for the value of the scale and polish (the value of such cheque not to exceed £50, including VAT) within approximately 10 days of your successful submission of the claim form.

4.5          Incomplete or invalid claims may be rejected by the Administrator and/or Promoter.

5              ELIGIBILITY  

5.1          The Promotion is only open to residents in the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland), aged 18 years or over at the time of purchase, except employees (and members of their immediate families/households) of the Promoter or the Administrator, its affiliated companies, its agencies (including employees of the Administrator) and anyone professional connected with the Promotion.

5.2          By participating in the Promotion, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the cashback. The Promoter and/or Administrator may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to participate in the Promotion.

5.3          There is a limit of one redemption per household.


6.1          The Promoter will accept all liability if something the Promoter or its employees, agents (including the Administrator) or subcontractors does negligently causes death or injury, as well as for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

6.2          If the Promoter or the Administrator is in breach of the requirements of this Promotion, neither will be responsible for any losses that you suffer as a result, except those losses or damage which are a foreseeable consequence of the breach. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both the Promoter and you knew it might happen. You are entirely free to choose a dental practice of your choice and therefore, in the absence of any negligence by the Promoter, its employees, agents (including the Administrator) or subcontractors, the Promoter will not be liable for any acts or omissions of the hygienist or dental practice.

6.3          Your statutory rights are not affected.

7              DATA PROTECTION

Any of your personal information submitted as part of this Promotion will only be processed in accordance with the following privacy policy:

8              ADDITIONAL TERMS  

8.1          The cashback cannot be redeemed against any other treatment and the Promoter will not cover any cost above £50 for the scale and polish treatment, any additional treatment required or received or any travel costs.

8.2          The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are refused treatment. 

8.3          A scale and polish is not a dental check, and must not replace your routine check up with your dentist.

8.4          In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the promotion, without notice and in any manner, where it becomes necessary to do so. In these circumstances, the Promoter will endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.

8.5          Any decision of the Promoter and/or Administrator in respect of any rejection of an invalid claim will be final and binding.

8.6          The Promoter reserves the right to permanently disqualify from any promotion any person it believes has intentionally violated these terms and conditions.

8.7          These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
